if i try to start EiB (also in "safe mode") from GOG i get the following error in a Window and cannot Play it:

In the eib.ini the following Parameter is set, that eib should start not in Fullscreen-mode, but in a window:
StartupFullscreen=False

I also tried Compatibility-Mode (have set it to Windows 8), nothing has changed.

I could start it first and also Play in Window-Mode, but then changed Display-Settings in the game to get a better graphic. Later when i restarted the game it crashed with the error message above. Then i thought, ok i uninstall and reinstall it, that will reset the display-Settings. But strangely i can´t get it started. Maybe some Settings have been saved out of the Game-Directory (e.g. in Windows- or other User-Directory), which is not deleted when i deinstall it...?

I can start the other game "Brothers in Arms - Road to Hill 80".

Any idea someone what i could do? Thanks!

Installed the game on different Computers (Medion PC, Sony Vaio Laptop, Lenovo Thinkpad Laptop, Dell Laptop (on Windows 10) and everywhere i have this same error.
It cannot be, that no one other does not have the same problem.

Try installing or reinstalling the NVIDIA PhysX software as suggested here.
