Just download BS3 today, install complete without any problem, then open the game but I can go just only at the screen I need to press enter to go to play the game. Anyway, I press enter several time but nothing happen. Pls support.

Ok. I can find solution now. My PC has sound onboard(disable) and SB Audigy 2 ZS. I try many things....and give up but still left the game in my computer. Yesterday I have time to check again. I decide to disable the SB Audigy driver and enable the sound onboard chip on my PC mainboard, install it's driver and try again as this is the last option I still not do it. The game can play now! I do not need to change the hardware accerelation to basic in directx as well.

Ok first try to run the game in different compatibilty settings to see if that allows it to run properly.
To do this right click the games icon, click properties, compatibility tab, Then try running it in windows xp(if your on vista), windows 98. See if any of those help.
If you are running vista also before you run the game right click it and choose run as administrator.
The third quick fix is to turn off video acceleration. You can do this in either your nvidia or ati control panel assuming you have one of these cards and not a onboard chipset.
Also make sure that your directx version, graphics drivers and sound drivers are all up to date.
If none of these work then we are going to need more information to solve your problem. If you could post a dxdiag or type the important parts of your system specs out that would help.
To run a dxdiag go to start menu, run then type (dxdiag) in the box without the brackets. Let that bar at the bottom fill up and then click save all information. Save it to somewhere you can find it then copy and paste whats in it to the forums.

Thanks you for your support. My system is windows XP SP2, Intel Core 2 E6850 3.0Ghz, Geforce 8800GTS 640MB in SLI with driver version 182.06. Dirext X version DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904). I run DxDiag but no error or problem report out., sound card is on board soundmax HD, my MB is ASUS Striker extreme. This system can play BS1 and BS2 (the original game not GOG version) without any problem. I also try to change my screen resolution from 1440*900 to 800*600 but still no change. When I run the game, it will start with blank screen which I need to press spacebar for them to go to the Birken sword3 open screen that I need to press enter to start the game. Press several time not no change.
Try this
XP
Reduce audio hardware acceleration. To do this clickon on Start -> Run -> type dxdiag -> Sound -> Move the 'Hardware Sound Acceleration Level' slider down to 'Basic acceleration'. This is resolving the majority of XP startup problems.
- Try running the safe version of the game, it is found in the game folder.
- If you are using any refresh rate fixing programs like nvRefreshTool then disable these before running the game
It also wouldn't hurt to update to SP3 for XP.
Just thought up a couple more ideas. Make sure that the game is only running on a single cpu core and turn SLI off for the game so it only runs on one graphics card.

Thanks. I try all option your provide but it still not work. There is not safe version of the game in the game folder as well. I send message to gog support team to reply to me. Until now I still not get any reply from them.
Ok I only have a few more idea's and they are more shots in the dark then anything but they might work.
I found out the game is run using opengl so try changing your desktop colour settings to 16bit before you run the game. If this doesn't work then change them back to 32bit settings and try using the compatibilty tab on the games icon and run the game under 256 colour mode and see if that helps.
Also go to your videocard tab and turn vsync, antialiasing and anisotropic filtering force all of these off. Just remember to turn them all back to application controlled before you play any other games.
Try this: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/broken_sword_the_smoking_mirror/solution_for_game_not_responding_on_load_only_blank_window_shown
Not sure of the exact steps for Nvidia, but I'm sure it has a similar option in the control panel. I have a Crossfire 4870x2, so it might be your SLI causing issues.

Thank you very much for all support I get from you and Ralackk. I try all option propose but all not work. Key issue is when I press enter at the Broken Sword screen which has text "press enter to begin" ....it is not begin the game at all but I still can see the game trailer if I keep waiting to see any change (seem like game trailer will automatic show if player not press enter at this beginning screen). Game trailer will show from time to time and if it start i can not do anything and need to wait until it finish. Try to press enter button many times but still not begin the game. Now I waiting GOG support team to answer as I sent DXdiag file to them already. Again, thanks for all support and I hope GOG support team will solve the issue for me soon.
Do you have a joystick or gamepad attached at all? BS3 supports sticks and might have selected that automatically and not be responding of the keyboard input for some reason, might be worth trying all the stick buttons
Have you tried ALT+TAB to go back to the desktop and then again to go back to the game? It might not have picked up the focus right and be full screen but not the active program if you know what I mean

until today still no solution to solve my problem and now no response from GOG support team. How long they want me to wait ?? :(
Definitely send the question again then (but remember they only work normal office hours)

Until today. no response from GOG support team even I follow up many times. The money is not much but I not confidence in GOG service quality any more. It better to feedback that you can not find solution or you tried hard but still can not find or tell your customer that you are too busy and forget to priority your customer problem and will do asap rather than keep quiet. I love old game and still love to play it in new Operating system. When I saw GOG announce and it make my dream come true. I try whether it work or not by download free game "Beneath the steel sky" and it play without any problem. That is why I decide to buy and still have long wish lists to buy. When I first find problem,I never had idea to refund my money because I really love to play it and I confidence that GOG will help me. I wait and wait and try many solution but fail. I never complaint them only follow up, try, reply test result , wait , follow up and keep waiting that they will give me some solution for me to have the opportunity to play this game. But now I start to think it worth for me to pay even only $USD5.99 to GOG or not when I get service like this. Community forum is only one area that I see friend in this forum help me for many option to try. I already raise my complaint to GOG. Again thank you for you and everybody who see this post and try to help me.
Best regards,
Please try UnInstall the game and reboot your PC.
Then go back and install the game, but this time NOT to the default path - Program Files.
On the lower left area of the install window is a button you can click and change the path. Install to your documents folder instead.
See if that works. :)

aragon: blah blah...

Men, it looks like you got some problem with you system, maybe try to reinstall it first and then whine and cry like a baby? Heh? Nobody except you got problems, so - forgive me, that's looks like yours problem. Mine hint - reinstall system and disable joypad.
