This means yes! Are you as excited as I am? :)
It should be less than 8 hours now until the complete game is released on our site.
Hi!

Any chance for a Kickstarter backer (pledged 23.02.2012) to get a gog key? I haven't used the steam key or the humble download - I hoped after the final release they change their minds. All Kickstarter projects I supported offered a gog key: Wasteland 2, Republique, Tex Murphy, Dead State, Broken Sword 5, Pillars of Eternity, Dreamfall Chapters, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. Seems Tim hates me after all :(
OMG Just this moment I saw the update available. The information on the store page still needs to change though.

It is rather unlikely, but please check with our support.

Yes, it is official - the wait is over. The 2.0 installer which includes both acts is available for you to download! :)

Hi,

Same feeling here. I backed a few projects (Wasteland, Broken Sword...) and they all provided a GOG key. I backed 2 Double Fine projects (Broken Age and Massive Chalice) and, so far, no GOG keys have been provided.

For Broken Age, it'll be ok because I was lucky enough to get it for free during the last insomnia sale but I fear that the story will repeat itself for Massive Chalice. This is very sad because it ruins all the PR efforts made by Tim Schafer to present Double Fine as a "caring" company (and I won't add Spacebase to the mix since I did not back it).

Just hope they'll prove me wrong and provide GOG keys for their forthcoming Kickstarter release.

"Hello, I am afraid that we are unable to give away the games for Kickstarter backers directly without the publisher. Please try contacting them again, they might have not get your message or are just slow with their response.

It isn't GOG's responsibility to provide free keys for Broken Age to Kickstarter backers, it is Double Fine's. Your best course of action is to go to the <span class="bold">Double Fine Adventure - Creator Bio</span> page and contact them through there. Of course, Double Fine is within their right to not provide a GOG code either, as it was not listed as a potential reward for backing the game, but they are the only ones who could make that call.

Best of luck!

From the reply of the GOG support you've seen that I already tried to contact DF (over different channels btw). I was aware that DF is responsible for the keys at the corresponding stores. Nevertheless I followed the advice of katatonicone from the gog.com team to ask the support. I hoped my request would reveal a hidden vendetta between Tim and the gog-bear. As you mentioned DF fulfilled its duties and backers wishing a gog.com key have no legal obligation to get a key. I'd like to know why there are no gog keys for the backers so I can decide to buy the game a second time (now or in a distant future on sale).
The case of Republique was quite similar (no I don't mean the development time). In the campaign gog was not mentioned, but the request of many users led to a quick response of Camouflaj, so they sent out gog keys to the backers requesting it. The availability of Broken Age at gog.com and at the same time the refusal deliver the keys to backers have to have a certain cause - maybe it's the one I mentioned above.

My apologies. I mistook your copying of GOG's reply as a complaint rather than a simple piece of "For Your Information". I hope you didn't take my reply to you as condescending as it wasn't meant as such.

More on topic, I find it very surprising that Double Fine would be so averse to supplying GOG keys to their backers. Perhaps you could try reaching out to Tim Schafer directly? He seems to be pretty good about responding to people on his Twitter account. It couldn't hurt to ask.

Again, best of luck!

If we could, we would. We just do not have any GoG keys to distribute."

Gydion:
On May 09, 2015 I replied to the e-mail from the support, quoting the acquisition procedure of the gog.com key for developers by JudasIscariot. So far I did not receive an answer from the Double Fine Productions Support Team.

Today I checked the backer download page (humblebundle.com) again. To my great surprise it now offers an option for a gog.com key. I immediately redeemed to code at gog.com an am now in the progress of downloading. The code was valid till May 10, 2016. So the information from Gydion might have led to the very positive outcome for me and some other backers. Thank you very much Gydion!

One year ago Double Fine Productions informed about the Ouya key via e-mail. Maybe they'll sent out an e-mail to inform the backers about the gog.com key. Maybe they don't mention it, as it is a bit late, as most backers accepted the fact of a missing gog.com key after two weeks (or more than three weeks without the official announcement).

Anyway I am thankful for the final outcome and will enjoy now my first backed game.
