Although i'm gutted y'all haven't managed to add save & quit yet (by far the most glaring missing feature), i'm overjoyed you're still tweaking and adding, and keeping GoG updated.

Time to fire it up again! Thank you so much for even more of this amazing game!

Thanks for the update. But the new random lighting doesn't look very good, because it often lacks shadows (no directional light). There is already a discussion about it on the steam forum:
Fortunately one can edit lighting easily in the debug menu. Though I hope the devs add an option for classic lighting.
I've been waiting for some lighting variation ever since I first bought the game. I recall seeing early promo vids and screens with all the varied lighting, and was quite disappointed when I got the game and there was no lighting variation at all: every single map was just generic nighttime. Honestly; it made longer runs start to feel very same-y very quickly.

I personally love the new lighting. It's what I wanted from the start. Some daytime for goodness' sake. I agree with many who are saying it's quite garish at times, and it is, but i'll take that and a general improvement in variation over every single map being nighttime.
I just got a notification that the update is ready to play. I bought it on GOG a week or so ago, when I saw 1.4 had been released and didn't realize all this time I didn't have the newest one! Downloading now :)

also a minor note-- the current build on GoG is the updated patch and works fine, but there's an issue if you're modding the game (prevents properly building the pack file). So if you want to mod the game you'll need to wait until GoG posts the fixed build. We've already uploaded it on our end so it's up to GoG's review process (which we're glad to have).

Much thanks!
How do we access the modding tools on GoG?

Nothing to access, at least not until that fixed build is up.
The remastered version of the audiobook has yet to arrive as well.
Thank you for the update stellar jockeys! Your merch patches look bad ass, ima grab some of those I think.

A question. In some places (inc. the main menu iirc) the patchnotes say there's more playable vehicles, but i'm not seeing anything. A typo?

Thanks for the extra freelance runs and especially the randomizing ones. That's gonna give a new lease of life on Brigador for me. Would have loved a randomizer for the individual freelance equip screens, but I know you guys don't have much time for big changes in Brigador 1 any more. ; )

Looking forward to the mod pack too, if I can figure out how to install and use it anyway. The readme instructions scared me.
N/M, new vehicles are in the community mod pack. Awesome stuff! Weird how there are multiple authors' versions/interpretations of previously unplayable vehicles though. Trying to choose WHICH Boris or Fafnir to drive out...
Can't complain though, been wanting to drive so many of these things for so long now! Vroom vroom.

HughSJ: * Remastered the Brigador Audiobook
Could you clarify what that means?

I had previously written
The narration is pretty good for the most part. My only persistent complaint was that he hardly paused at many (if not most) of the mid-chapter scene changes, which leaves the listener scrambling to catch up. I don't know if that was an issue in the recording or the editing, but I found it annoying and it could surely have been fixed in the edit.
If that issue has been fixed in this remastering process, I'd happily edit my post to say so.
