LarousseBR: When I check the Power Glove on Manillo Shop at Chiqua, game crashes.
This needs to be fixed...
I haven't gotten far enough to check this, but have you submitted this to GOG?
Can confirm. Just arrived in Chiqua and this crash happens every time I scroll down to that item.

This is insane, I had this issue also. BUT, if I go to the town, save on the blue diary then go to the manillo, it stops crashing

I just attempted this but the game still crashes for me. What a strange bug.
GOG, fix this soon, please!
I arrived to Chiqua in my playthrough.

First I saved outside the town, I went to the Manillo Shop and I got the crash. I tried again after saving using the blue diary in the town (in a different saving file slot) and, in fact, I didn't got the crash. But, I restarted the game loading from my first save and I have been unable to trigger the crash again (I tried many times, for science), so... I'm not sure if the blue diary was really helpful or it was a coincidence... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EDIT: I still see occasionally the crash, see my other post, below.

Same thing here. Once you interact with Manillo Shop and try to scroll down, the game crashes...
I wonder if GOG is already aware of this bug....They didn't release any more hotfixes.

I followed your instructions to the letter and this did not work for me. Doesn't matter whether I save outside the town or at the diary, crash still happens regardless.

EDIT: Upon checking the Event Viewer, it appears to be a problem with the dinput.dll file. I'm going to submit a bug report to GOG and see what happens.

The response from GOG Support:

Hello,

0) Please make sure that your Windows installation is most up to date.

1) Please open the GOG GALAXY App, select the game and use the repair button which will be located next to the PLAY button (on the right) > Manage installation > Repair https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003930017-My-game-data-is-corrupt-How-can-I-repair-my-game-

2) Please install the June 2010 DirectX runtime package: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LL8Hna3FIc

3) If you are using Nahimic, please could you disable this audio software or uninstall it completely as it has proven to be problematic with many games? The article below might be helpful when it comes to disabling the Nahimic service: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408556606237

4) Please go to the game installation folder:- If the game was installed via GOG GALAXY, please select the game in GOG GALAXY, click on the icon on the right side of the PLAY button -> Manage Installation -> Show Folder- If the game was installed via offline installer, then you will have to manually navigate to the game installation folder, by default it's: C:\GOG Games\game-title\

Once in there find game's executable, right-click on it, and select Properties. In the properties window please switch to the Compatibility tab, and enable "Disable full screen optimization" and "Run as administrator". Press Ok to apply settings, and try to run the game again using the executable file. 5) Please close all software that has an overlay (this can include: Radeon Software, Rivatuner Statistics Server, MSI Afterburner, Discord, FRAPS, OBS, programs from Adobe Suite and similar software that may use overlay, or diagnostic tools).

6) Should the issues persist, please reinstall the game AND add it to your anti-virus/firewall software's exception/trusted list. Please make sure that you install the game to a short path, for example:C:\GOG or C:\Games

Yeah guys, I don't know. I've tried most of the suggestions above but the only thing that even somewhat worked was changing the compatibility to "Disable full screen optimization" and "Run as administrator". With these two boxes checked, I was finally able to scroll all the way down the menu, but the item description text was mildly distorted and the game still crashed like usual about 5 seconds later. I'm not running any overlays or background programs and I'm not too inclined to reinstall the game, because frankly at this point I don't think it will do any good.

Judging by the information we've been given, GOG doesn't believe this problem is on their end, so I guess we're on our own with this one.
Sorry for the late response.

I didn't report this because have no idea how.

I tried most of the solutions, different slot, save on diary then check on shop again, disabling full screen optimization and run as admin but none worked.

Event Viewer show the crash happens on C:\Windows\System32\dinput.dll

I will open ticket for this bug, though it's minor bug I believe

Edit: I found the cause, I played without Xbox One Controller plugged and it didn't crash but the text is glitched as you can see in the image.

Edit2: bug report submitted

It also crashes if you scroll up to it (using pgdn to get to the bottom and then up)
