The topic line says it all.
I cannot install the game correctly it seems. Modifyed/Repaired it, uninstalled it, went to the folder and deleted it manually (still existed somehow), started GOG Galaxy with admin rights again, installed again, failed again.
There is enaugh space left for the installation.

When I go directly into the folder after installation has completed, and start the exe, I am able to get into the title screen, into settings, etc. But when I start a new game, after chosing my difficulty level I am greeted by a load screen which freezes. I have to close the game task manager style.

How can I play the game?

Edit: I managed to get the gamre running (got over that pesky loading screen) by turning the laguage back to english from japanese. But I cannot start the game from the gog galaxy menue. It also constantly tries to install it again and gets an error when "configuring",

Edit 2: Now after uninstalling once more several times and reinstalling I cannot pass the loading screen anymore.
Am I the only one with this problem I wonder, cannot seem to find anyone else having to deal with this,,,

Edit 3: When I uninstall the game the files themselves seem to remain in the bloodstained folder. I have to manually delete it.

Have you tried using the offline backup installer?

Hustlefan: Have you tried using the offline backup installer?
Yes, I did. I tried the offline setup, a pirated version and my kickstarter backer gog version.
The backer beta from a year ago does run though in steam. I uninstalled my nvidia graphics drivers and reinstalled them, but to no avail.
I also sent the dxdiaglog to the gog team. Have to wait for them to reply. I read about antivirus progs interfering with the game, so I turned them off. But no solution.

As I mentioned there was a small time gap when I could play the game (but I stopped because there was no joypad connection with my ps4 pad). Since then I could not enter the game (after the first loading screen) anymore.

You can try deleting the "BloodstainedRotN" folder located in "C:\Users\Your_Username\AppData\Local" and then reinstall the game. Good luck.

Did not work. Thanks for the tip anyway.

Edit: Due to it being a configuration problem I changed some values inside the configuration screen inside the game.
Put it to Windows Mode, all graphics settings to lowest and it did get over the loading screen and I was back into the gameplay. It tried to turn back everything to highest graphics setting and it did work again.
Now just the error message remains.

I seem to have found a solution thanks to Dane C. from support.505games.com who found a link to the solution to this message.

- Exit GOG Galaxy.
- Go to C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Storage and delete the file galaxy.db
- Restart GOG Galaxy.

It now says INSTALLED in GOG.
I will test it for a while though. To do that I would need a pad. Any idea how to play it with a Playstation4 Pad, doesn't seem to work without any 3rd party tools.

Edit: This solution worked for 40 hours of gameplay. So this thread can be marked as solved.
Now I am facing the "...has encountered a Fatal Error"-Problem (see other thread) though.
