at starting the game , the game crashes and I have to manually shutdown my pc, the weird thing is that I downloaded a pirated version and plays fine, but when I install it from GOG it crashes

I think had the same problem! It was caused by choosing the first save slot at the top when starting a new game... it was actually reading my two year old save data from the backer demo! So the solution is to start on another slot, and make absolutely sure it's blank, and the game should load after that. Once you get to the first save point, make sure to save over that old demo file so it doesn't cause issues again!
