I figured I might ask here since I can't seem to find a solution elsewhere - Blood ran fine before I installed the launcher, now I get about 5fps and I'm unsure why.

Even on the lowest resolution it's super choppy. Anyone know why?

EDIT: Nevermind, I changed "fulldouble=true" in the dosboxBlood config to false and it runs flawlessly.

Isn't there an easier way to install all this stuff?
Well?

) GOG.com version ONLY: MOVE the file "game.gog" and overwrite the file "game.inst" found in the
directory "Games/Blood" into "Games/CDMount". This is to ensure that mods (and now the game)
can also access the CD image and audio music. THE PROVIDED AUDIO FILES ARE FIXED (no track slicing)!

Wtf does that mean ?

Am i supposed to overwrite the file game.inst in games/blood or move it ?
Sorry but this makes no sense in english

game.ins is a palin-text file that refers to the location of game.gog (a CD disc image). If the instructions ask you to move your game.gog file to Games/CDMount and your game.ins file to Games/Blood, game.ins will need to know where to look for game.gog, and the ogg files. By default it presumes that it is in the same directory so by overwriting your game.ins file, it most likely has that information re-keyed. You can verify this by opening the replacement game.ins file with Notepad.
Sweet! Thx!
Can You add Death Wish mood from ModDB to your blood launcher?
Not that I know of, but you can easily just create a desktop shortcut to deathwish and run it that way, I did at least
Digging up an old post!

So I've followed the instructions, and the launcher opens, but I cant load the game, episode/level selects, any custom maps, mods, etc. Clicking does nothing. Everything has been patched. I can load the game through the setup menu, but that is not ideal, and makes what the launcher offers pointless. I've noticed that "game.inst" is in fact "game.ins" in the blood/games dir, and I have to rename it in order to overwrite the original file in CDmount. I'm not sure that's the issue.. Any ideas?
I am running Windows 10, and tried running the stock GOG version, same problem. Damnit.. Hope it gets fixed soon..

That's your problem right there.

I'm just guessing of course, but it might be due to the torrent download link on his page currently pointing to some online gambling site. I disregarded Chrome's warnings and downloaded the installer directly from his website and will be running a virus scan on it (just to be safe), but chances are it's a false alarm.
Just FYI: AVG game me an alert saying there's a trojan embedded in some of the files as soon as I tried running the launcher. I'm still inclined to believe it's a false positive, but I thought I'd share it anyway, for those who are wary of downloading potential malware.

McTecman, you may want to look into this, if you're still following this thread. It'd be a shame if people were scared off from grabbing your launcher, because I think it's a rather nice little piece of work. :-)

As for me, "I'm going to paint the town... red."
Has anybody gotten this launcher to work with Death wish yet?,and if so can they please provide the info, and configs needed to do so.Thanks

Sorry, but I had to remove the entire thing.

Google basically flagged my entire domain for malware, and the launcher was the reason.

From what I understand, there's no malware in it, but parts of it definitely behave like it was - specifically, some extensions to the software I used (Multimedia Builder - the extensions were PowerDIR and FileExplorer) to make this are using .dll files that get copied into appdata's temp folder so it can actually work, so no wonder it's setting off flags.

There was an installable version being made (so none of this manual copying silliness), though after the first malware flaggings happened I stopped working on that and tried to make a version in C# but I'm not actually a programmer and it just seemed outside of my scope/abilities.

Does anyone know of a good free (or cheap) tool to make GUI apps? Just keep in mind that I have a LOT less free time than when I originally put this together, so it may take a long, long time to learn whatever new software I'd use and put something together.

I do apologise for the whole blunder.

Also, if there's a programmer out there who could build something like this, you're VERY welcome to! I'm much better with building visuals so I can still help you there.
