markanini: Anyone know how to get nBlood to work with the SC-55 music pack?
I got it working by renaming the SC-55 ogg files to blood##.ogg (ie. blood02.ogg) and put them in the same folder as the rest of the Blood files. Also, in game, there is an option to enable "redbook audio" that I had to toggle. You can find that under Option>Sound Setup.

NukeYKT released a new build of nBlood (1.01)
Available at: https://nukeykt.retrohost.net/
Notable changes:
-Many gameplay inaccuracies are fixed
-Cryptic Passage can be selected in launcher (Windows only)
-Cutscene support
-Polymost(OpenGL) renderer improvements(less rendering glitches, improved palette emulation, overall better performance)
-Overall better stability
Thanks for the post, playing Cryptic Passage with no problems! Can't wait for the grandkids to come over and get a Bloodbath match going.
Only just found out about this. Its nice to finally have one that doesn't need Java.

Only issue with it i'm having is that I can't get it to run with my batch file launcher. It just displays an error about files when I run it through that.

Yeah, it handles things differently than the original Blood.exe as it's based on eDuke. You might want to look into the way eDuke does things since it uses that version of Build as its core.

I tried that. I copied the same code that I use for eDuke and still says about missing files on nBlood. RedNukem (same as nBlood but for Redneck Rampage) also has issues with it.

Its annoying, but its not the end of the world as it just means I have to have two shortcuts opposed to one.
bump
How do I run mods out of a folder? Say I put "Bloody Pulp Fiction" in to it's own folder inside my main Blood folder. How would I make nBlood run that mod? I tried putting the ini in the main folder separate from the mod, and the mod in autoload, and that didn't work. Neither did setting "custom game directory" to the mod folder.

If you haven't done, download the latest NBlood file and extract it to your BLOOD folder.
For this example, I'll call it C:\Games\NBloood

NukeYKT currently has NBlood 1.01 posted.

Download Bloody Pulp Fiction rescripted for BloodGDX v2
https://www.moddb.com/mods/bloody-pulp-fiction-for-bloodgdx/downloads/bloody-pulp-fiction-rescripted-for-bloodgdx-v2

Create a BPF sub directory in your NBlood folder
ie. C:\GAME\NBlood\BPF

Extract the contents BPFGDXv2.zip to C:\GAME\NBlood\BPF

Rename the BPF.INI file to BLOOD.INI (keep this version of the BLOOD.INI in your BPF folder)

Rename the BPF art tiles that were extracted to C:\GAME\NBlood\BPF
TILES020.ART -> TILES022.ART
TILES019.ART -> TILES021.ART
TILES018.ART -> TILES020.ART
TILES015.ART -> TILES019.ART
TILES009.ART -> TILES018.ART

When you launch NBlood, in the Setup tab, there is an entry: "Custom game content directory" select BPF from [the] pull-down menu.

Edited for clarity

I contacted the dev and he kindly provided me a 32-bits unofficial version.
Note that only the software mode works because the OpenGL renderer is broken on 32-bits systems.

Here is the link.

But I don't know if this version has cutscenes support an I don't understand the tip above to play them !

If cutscene files are in the same game directory, set the letter of directory to anything else than mounted image, for ex.
SourceDir=E:

For some reason if it's empty, just like :. or C, D cutscenes will not play in newest version.

It still doesn't work. For me, it's SourceDir=D :

I read that for BloodGDX, Izarc is needed to open the games.gog and games.ins folders and extract the cutscenes? Is it necessary here too ? Too bad there is no possibility to have a pre-packaged file to play cutscenes...

Can you not use the files from this download?

Nblood is great but I don't have any luck with the cutscenes as well. I used my own files from the CD then I downloaded the Steam download but nothing happens. I'm missing something but I don't know where...
Which files must be in the MOVIE folder-the .smk + .wav files only or some others? I saw that the original GOG file contains .avi files as well, are they needed too?
I suspect blood.ini must be edited in some way but I fail to configure it correctly.
Could someone make a clear step by step explanation how do we get the cutscenes to work.
Overall Nblood is superb, very stable framerate, good sound, faithful to the DOS version and the sky is nice in classic rendering mode. Highly recommended if you want a good port for modern systems.
