I have contacted Peter Hopkins recently, one of the ex-Tequila guys, to ask about Blood 2: Revelations. Luckily for us, he agreed to share pretty much what's all of the Blood 2: Revelations stuff that was made or was in progress, save for the new codes which were lost in a HDD crash. I would post more stuff but since I don't know my way around Blood 2's modding tools, I'll leave it up to anyone who's interested to find more interesting stuff within.

Also, did I forget to mention 2 new music tracks and 5 new Caleb lines?

Thank you for this PC! A huge shout out to Peter Hopkins! This is the shot in the arm via tranq gun the Blood community needed!

I'm just a lowly beta tester for Extra Crispy and for those unaware, Vgames is fighting fiercely to get b2 into a enjoyable state, a task that hasnt been easily. In over 3 years of work, a huge corner has been turned, you can look foward to increased enemy numbers, better pathfinding, and, maybe, a working flamethrower in the v5 lease .

I dont know how Vgames sees the Revelations release, but it looks like a game changer .

Thank you again Peter and PikaCommando.
No problems all - had to release it at some point. Trying to get the old tools working so I can compile and run stuff again, none of the old tools really work on new OS :(

Once I get it there it'll refresh my mind somewhat.

Update: found a version of the tools that are already extracted - Boom! so easy to extract the rez files and hopefully compile the levels.

GREAT!!! Now get those maps compiled. I want to use them with my mod. YAY!!!!!
treat the levels as community assets now, feel free to incorporate in mods or use as inspiration.

Mr. Hopkins? is that you?

More importantly, Are you modding for ec?
They're your maps after all. I haven't found a license yet in the documentation, please note that in the USA at least, copyright is assumed. Can you clear up the status if these resources for us?
Yep its me - not modding anymore, just teasing and tantalising as usual :)

re: copyright - please feel free to use the levels for non-profit creations including mods/inspirational works. Any other form of use is strictly prohibited. They are to serve as a nostalgic reminder for the modding community and if the community wish to continue with any of the editable levels they are free to do so for non-profit/non-financed projects.

be careful of sounds and textures contained within the project, I would advise keeping away from directly using these as some are directly from Blood/Blood2 - I don't own the rights to these, it was taken that Tequila could use them while working with Monolith/GT.

The community has been asking about the pack for a while now, someone posted a youtube video of Q2: Unseen which sparked off conversation around revelations, had a spare weekend to collate assets and pop them up.

They are out there now, if the community feels like continuing the journey please feel free to do so.

different ones to mine, but these don't work either - can compile the file but the .dat doesn't load in the game.
kpc dedit can't compile something that b2 can read. They can read each others ed files though. I didn't put the b2 tools up minus the installer?
Well if these maps ever work for Blood 2 I'm gonna include them with my mod. That's it though. They'll be playable in both single player and coop modes. I'm not sure if I'll include the death map maps but I might. Don't see why not I guess. Good luck.
yep finally got them to work - what I mentioned to you earlier via steam is true - extract all contents of the retail .rez files, situate these in the sub folders and then remove the retail .REZ files.

When u run the blood2 launcher make sure you put the "+enableretaillevels 1" in the Advanced Options \ Command-Line area

Place the compiled Revelations maps in the \Worlds folder in the Blood 2 DIR

Run the game

and go to Custom under single player and the levels work. :)

Love the enthusiasm but they'll need a lot of work before they can be released as part of a mod - levels are part complete or areas are in proof-of-concept phases, with little more than landmark areas completed.
Well if that's the case I'll just wait till somebody finishes them. I don't have time to learn how to use dedit to make maps. I've got other mods to work on. But if they are ever completed I'll add them in another release. Great job on getting these to us anyways. So cool of u.
dedit...

A little job stability in my life and I'd give it another go. My earlier encounters wirh this editor do not bode well though.

*dedit tutorial impersonation*

...and now that you can make a box, why not go read up a quake tutorial about doors?- dedit is similar! Have fun experimenting!
