I've gone through what I thought was the end of the game - level "The Lock" and had the conversation with the girl. But then the game resumed with what I think are new levels as they are white blocks and it states "in the lab". Playing three or four levels of this and wanting to quit for awhile, I exit as I always have, but when I come back to resume, I am back to the first level of the white blocks. Is this part of the game? Is there any way to save the point where you're at? I saved it in slot 01 but when I came back to it, it was back at the beginning again. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have the game installed in Program files folder? If yes, try to reinstall it somewhere else, i.e. D:\GOG Games

No. It is installed in C:\GOG Games\Blocks that Matter. Thanks.
Hmm, make sure you run the game as admin (right-click game .exe or shortcut, and then click "Run as administrator")

I believe the problem was not the saving but the playing. Being new to the gaming world, I did not understand what the block were at the stat of the game. When first going through the game, you will not be able to solve the puzzles AND get the "block" so you just go through the game. When you get to the end of the game, then you can go back and get the "blocks" you were not able to get the first time through. That is when I realized that I could scroll through the blocks to get to where I needed. Pretty easy when you know what you are doing. Thanks for the help.
