When setting the resolution to anything past the default, it stretches off the sides of the screen with a black bar across the top rather than work fine as it does normally, attached images show what I mean when trying to do 1600x900 32 on my 1920x1080 monitor.

Due to print screening not showing what I mean I had to take images with my phone, not that the fidelity should be an issue, but I annotated them to point to what I mean.

Any ideas?

You will probably need to edit config.cfg file, take a look here - http://www.gog.com/forum/blitzkrieg_series/widescreen_support and here - https://steamcommunity.com/app/313480/discussions/0/616188677553240359/
Also, make sure you run the game as admin.
Thanks, worked a treat!

I edited the config from 1600x1200x32 and changed it to 2560x1600x32 and saved it, then started the game. The game didn't seem to like that and reverted itself to 640x480x16 for some reason, so I exited it, then I changed the resolution to 1920x1200x32 in the config file, saved it and tried the game again. That worked!

So, I thought I'd try it again, exited the game, edited the config and changed it back to 2560x1600x32 again, saved, started the game up again and... it worked! So I now have Blitzkrieg running in 2560x1600 widescreen successfully! I haven't actually played it like this to see how stable it is yet however, but it sure looks a lot better in the native resolution of my monitor than in Atari 2600 mode. LOL

BTW, I am just launching the game from Galaxy client and not running it as admin or doing anything special (Win7/x64) and it seems to work insofar as it came up in the proper resolution for 5 seconds before I came back to post success here. :)

Thanks for the tip!
