G-Doc: The removal will occur at 6:00PM GMT today (that's in 1,5 hours).

drennan: Now, I am sorry if I am missing something obvious here, but is there a particular reason you placed this announcement in a forum section that is for people who already have the game?
Indeed! What's the point of only telling the people who already have it? In the future, make all removal announcements in the general forum please!
This. Game. Got. Removed. From. My. Library. Too.

I. Hope. For. The. Good. Of. Everyone. For. It. To. Reappear. Soon.

This. Thing. Started. Getting. On. My. Nerves.

Games. Constantly. Being. Removed. From. Here.

Something. Must. Die.

This happens every time a game gets removed, just give it a few hours for the system to refresh itself. Happened to me when ReVolt was removed, then it came back to my shelf. It's an annoying hiccup that they have in their system.

Thanks. For. The. Good. News. Much. Appreciated.

Still. Something. Must. Die. Painfully.

Very much in agreement, unfortunately.

Foxhack: CODEMASTERS REMOVING A GAME BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE THE RIGHTS ANYMORE AND DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR IT

HOW SURPRISING

There's a good reason why I don't trust them at all.
So have the confirm what is going to happen to the rights? Is it just gonna be up in the air for anyone to get? Or it will remain in limbo similar to System Shock 1?
WHAT THE ...?!!??? *Speechless-few-moments*
The bad news just don't wanta stop. What a depressing fall here so far...

@Codemasters: Are you stupid in your heads???????? What's that for a way to do business?
"Hey gog you have to remove Blade of Darkness. When? Err... Today. Yes today. Better Now. Yes now. No we're not kidding you gog-guys, we're serious..."

FUCK YOU CODELOSERS, JUST FUCK YOU!!!

Who the hell knows? It's Codemasters, they don't give a fuck.

THIS IS WHY I DON'T BUY YOUR GAMES AT FULL PRICE, CODEMASTERS. YOU KEEP REMOVING GAMES.

G-Doc: I'm very sorry for the late notice, but we've just received word from Codemasters that we need to remove Blade of Darkness from sales on GOG.com, as they no longer hold the distribution rights.

As usualy, we will continue our efforts to bring the game back where it belongs (as in: our catalog) as soon as possible.

The removal will occur at 6:00PM GMT today (that's in 1,5 hours).

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
That's sad. It's even sadder that it's been removed from everybodies shelf too. :( Mine included.

You need to do better with your announcements of removing games. As has been said, it makes almost no sense to only post the announcement in the game-specific forum, it should be in the general forum and made public on your home page if you really want to make games available to people.
Totally missed this before... oh well, farewell another game... I wonder how long it takes for old games to enter public domain.. Do they ever?
"edit" nvm, delete this.

Probably not in our lifetime, sadly ;(

adambiser: Their system seems to have a bug that when a game disappears from sale, it temporarily disappears from previous buyers' shelves. It should reappear soon. A staff member might have to set some flag in the database to turn them back on for download.

LinustheBold: ^^^ This. I assume removing a game from the catalog involves a database rebuild, which seems to wipe the entry across much of the website for a time. Mine has vanished too, even though I just bought it right before the change; I reckon it will be back in an hour or so, and if it isn't I'll ask support.
Checked this morning and it's back again. Still a real crappy deal for those who hadn't bought it but wanted to though. GOG should really be more on the ball with expiry dates for licenses and have some kind of notification clause in place with publishers.
