In Win7 64 bit, the game has some serious issues, especially during certain points in the game and when cut-scenes should start playing. In OPENGL, game always crashes on amazon's first level, upon entering temple (final area) and later, in the island fortress, when you find the underground rune history room. Changing to D3D solved the first issue, but all menus are in black letters and you cannot see what you are navigating through, usually with catastrophic consequences (like for example loading a game when you really need to save it, instead).

This game needs fixing and probably updating to stay in touch with modern systems... Any chance?
Given that the game's not even being sold here any more, the best hope you've got is probably fan patching, and AFAIK, nobody's bothering.

Ouch. News being sad aside, let's cross our fingers for the game to reappear here, again...
I am on Win 7 64 bit and I can't think of any serious issues. The game runs smooth as a butter.

Use dgVoodoo2 (and select D3D in-game), that will fix the black letters. See the guide(s) on PCGamingWiki.
