Hello,

As in the title, is there any point to playing basic Bioshock games over/before/next to Remastered versions?
nope. Gameplay is exactly the same. Only difference is the visuals have been "improved" in the remastered versions.
I put "improved" in quotes because many people don't like the new graphics very much, think ,despite the age, the originals had a better look and feel to them.
But whichever you prefer, except for the grpahics you are playing exactly the same game.
The remastered versions have a lot of crashes.

Some people say that don't have crashes but for me I only played Bioshock 1 Remastered and probably had more than 30+ crashes and some of them were when I was saving so I lost some save files.

I played through thr entire game (Boishock 1: Remastered), didn't experience 1 crash, but I did get some audio glictes in the hacking parts, I wouldn't know the audio glicted, but my streams' audio would go crazy.

Enough people have had serous problems with the remastered version tor it too be a logical conclusion it was pushed out the door too soon.
But the point is except for imptoved visual, that original and the remastered version are exactly the same.

But honestly, I don't think the visuals improved that much, it looked sharper, but more or less the same to me.
A bit late to the party but it's important to note the sound quality in these remasters is terrible... EAX has been removed so those of us with sound cards lose all the audio enhancements.

Everything in this game just sounds very "soft" compared to the original...
There's also the difference with the spear gun. In BS2 you could pin enemies to the walls. This feature was removed in the BS2 remaster.
