StormEffect: Thank you for the program, it does indeed work. But has anyone else noticed the run.exe that launches with BG&E in the GOG version? It seems to be designed to do the exact same thing (I notice it takes up extra processor cycles unused by BG&E). I think GOG probably tried to address the issue by implementing this solution.
Indeed, when we were looking for a solution to the sound sync problem we we developed one similar to deviantopian's app. It will start running when you launch the game from the shortcut or launcher, but not if you run BGE.exe. Moreover it will be active only while Beyond Good and Evil is active, so there should be no unnecessary stress for your processor.
The funny thing is, most of the people in this thread, who state that the sound sync is shot, never actually bought the game at GOG.com in the first place... C'mon guys, it's no problem if you bought the game elsewhere, but at least state that it isn't our version you're having problems with or you're making us look bad. :)
As for the actual problems with our release, please contact us via the Support section if you're experiencing sound sync issues (as in dialogue being played a second or more after it should, not the lack of voice sync, which BG&E never really had;)). Some of you already did (you know who you are;)) and we're grateful. :) When you write your message, check and let us know if you see run.exe in the Task Manager when you start BG&E from the shortcut. We'll do our best to polish our built-in fix.

So if there's an update, how is that handled? We'd get an email saying we have to download the new fix.exe? Would this be the first thing from GOG that's been patched since release?
Thanks for the info Firek.
For the record, I haven't bought the GOG.com version of BG&E so I expect some of the problems I encountered with the game on my laptop have been fixed in their version (thus rendering my "Process" app unnecessary). I'm tempted to buy it to see if that's the case but I already have the PC DVD version and the GameCube version which I play on my Wii :)
I'll be interested to see if there will be any more fixes for this game.

If you fixed it, consider me sold.

Plus I can enter the contest :D

This is one of the reasons I love buying from here. Much appreciated. :)

The same Company, but not right Team. ;) But They probably work near CD Projekt RED, so I presume that Developers of The Witcher know how many fans of Their work are on gog.com forum. :)

GOG team has said previously they'd love to have the game on here, just have to let it age.
