I LOVE this game so far. Still have trouble believing it was delivered by a small indie studio!! It looks and plays like something from a AAA company.

I was wondering if there's any way to increase the size of the mouse pointer in the game. The mouse pointer is so teeny-tiny at higher resolutions, that I sometimes lose it and have trouble finding it. :-D

I play the game at 2560x1600.

Thanks,
Craig

Hi Craig,

Thanks for the kind words and I am glad you are enjoying it!

The hardware cursor on Unity based games are limited to 32x32 in size. I am not sure why they did this but apparently it is a technical limitation. - https://blogs.unity3d.com/2012/10/22/cursor-api/

We did add a software mouse option in the general settings menu - you can try that and see if it makes the cursor bigger. The software cursor isn't as responsive as the hardware one but it may suffice?

Could you also try setting it larger in the windows settings? That may alter the size of the hardware mouse.

(Havent tested that myself)

Let me know :)

Hi Nic,

Thank you for the quick response. Sorry to learn about the limitations of the Unity engine, but that's not something you guys have control over. :-)

I tried all the options you suggested, but none of them worked. Not a huge issue. Still a great game.

BTW I also bought Stasis recently from GOG. Loving that game too!! You guys do excellent work!!

Thanks,
Craig

Thanks for the update Craig!

I think I may have an idea on how to make the cursor legible as a setting. Ill update this thread if I do it.
Thanks! I hope you come up with a solution. :-)

Hey Nic,

After playing Beautiful Desolation quite a bit I'd really appreciate it if there was a way to add my own personal Notes in the PDA. Currently I'm using an old-fashioned pen-and-paper notebook to keep track of who has asked for what and where I can find them once I have what they need. This approach works, but if I had a way to just add my notes to the PDA in the game it would be much better. Nothing fancy. Maybe just add another tab in the PDA that allows me to enter notes to remind me which quest I was on when I last played the game. If this feature can't be added, I totally understand. BTW I think the game has a good balance with the combination of the Conversation Log and To-Do List. They do a really good job of keeping track of important information without giving away too much and making the game too easy. Adding a tab to the PDA to jot down notes and reminders would round things out perfectly for me.

Thanks,
Craig
