Stargx: Hi AmethystViper,
Can you post a list of the problems you currently have and I can go through them?
Btw, there's no conspiracy, I'm just one guy working on multiple versions and multiple platforms of a game. Mistakes just get made.
Sorry for the late reply, but here are a list of problems I'm dealing with currently on the DRM-free version of Beat Hazard Ultra, which I also brought up on the Steam forums.
Music selection is broken/missing options For some strange reason, the build that I got from Humble and going by another user's post for the GOG version, the music selection screen is missing the ability to select music from folders, missing internet radio, and can't go back to select even the base game's soundtrack. Because of problem, if you try to index a lot of music (in my case, I had about ~1.5K pieces of music on my computer's Music folder) then try to play a game mode, the game just crashes, rendering it unplayable unless you delete the music saved onto the game and killing a good part of the game's appeal.
Bluetooth XInput controller problems I and another user above as well as others on the Steam forums reported, the game still refuses to register to XInput controllers being connected via Bluetooth — in my case, an Xbox One controller and an 8bitdo controller set to XInput mode via a generic Bluetooth dongle — and for some reason the game thinks they're DirectInput controllers, and for some reason it doesn't recognize the analog triggers nor D-pad as a result, as well as vibration feedback not working, despite what one of the past updates claims. It works fine when connected via USB, but with Bluetooth that's where these problems came in, and I never had this issue at all with the old CD-ROM version of the game which was able to recognize my XInput controlelrs connected via Bluetooth just fine as XInput controllers.
Fullscreen function does not work The recent update broke the game's Fullscreen mode and it always starts in Windowed mode, regardless if you set the game to Fullscreen in the video settings menu or attempt to use BeatHazardPrefs.txt as a workaround which didn't help. Adding to this, I can't help but noticed the V-sync option was gone and I am also getting some performance issues that I didn't have previous even though my PC is more than meets recommended requirements.

Shadow Ops not working properly in the DRM-free releases Some people here on GOG as well as well as on the Steam forums mentioned problems with the built-in Shadow Ops DLC for the DRM-free versions.

Missing Internet Radio support in DRM-free version Adding to aforementioned missing folder problems causing the game to crash, the DRM-free version appears to be missing Internet Radio features.
