My problem is, in the Battles i have 6, 7 or more enemies, und i just 4
and the enemies are the same weight like me
its impossible that i can stand the missions
please can me someone help?
You can only take 4 Mechs into the battles.

Do not rush the story!

Play sidemissions to get better mechs.

Later you will fight against much more than just 6-7 enemies.

Use the terrain, level your pilots up, guts 5 ( skill bulwark ) will help a lot.
Lots of posts here and on $te@m with guides. My three simple rules are:

1) Never move forward which lets the enemy attack you all at once. Skirt the edges and take out the first half of the enemy and then the second half will saunter into your killing zone.

2) Never sprint anywhere. Be the old bull and walk / jump / entrench every damn turn till you're in combat. Yes, it's slower, but it'll increase your survival rates dramatically.

3) Stick together. Just because the Spider is twice as fast as the Shadowhawk, doesn't mean you need to use all that speed. You always want to have four of your mechs ganging up on a single enemy, never the other way around.

Edit: Bonus 4) Use Reserve all the damn time. I didn't discover how powerful this was till half way through the game. AI never reserves and it's a great way to let those "hidden" units pop into view before you've charged out in the open and set yourself up to die an early death.

I agree with you, it would be better if it was similar to the old Mechcommander 2 system where you're limited by the amount of tonnage you can bring to the battlefield, rather the amount of mechs.

Point 1 and 3 are the key. AI never waits and sticks together so if you can put terrain between you and the enemy they'll separate and will be easy to obliterate them concentrating fire one after another.
okay thanks
i will made more side missions, its not the problem that i run to fast forward
the KI has luck without ending, the enemy Griffin shoots 2 times with the ppk at one mech in 2 rounds and hits both time the head for an example
and my guys? they are blind ;(

Placing, skills and tactics is the key here. If you have los of long range weapons then sensorlock the enemy while still out of sight and take him down with long range weapons.
Always move or jump if you dont have bulwark to get less likely hit. I do love jumpjets and short range weapons here.
Use cover to reduce damage, if you dont have bulwark.
Concentrate on one enemy and stay off from the others as good as possible.

My mechs usually have AC20 and JJ. With an aimed shot, you can take down every medium with one mech. You can jump into the back and aim for CT and take down heavies the same esily. Just need good placement.

Refit your mechs, so that they get more useful. No ammo into a torso, max armor, jumpjets, AC20 and one ML in a hunchback or centurion at start, then move over to Orion.

Optimum skills to get for me bulwark, sensorlock and master tactician for later game.
1. KITE the enemy. Move forward only so far as to get blips, then start backing off and let them come to you.
2. FOCUS FIRE the enemy. Don't piecemeal 1 mech and work another. Keep firing on 1 until it's down.
3. MELEE to cool off. If you're overheating but close, use a round of melee to do damage while letting your Mech cool off for the next round.
4. SPRINT to retreat (the enemy will never sprint, only move), this will give you space in time to cool off, then re-group and attack your aggressors.
5. BAIL if you have to. Not all missions are winnable. Sometimes you have to cut your losses and extract when given the option than to take on all comers.
6. FLANK when possible. Rear armor is weak. It can be a force multiplier with focus fire vs. heavier enemies, where punching through front armor takes too much effort.
7. FIRE SUPPORT with raining missiles for as long as you can. They provide excellent knockdown when boated en masse. And once someone is done prioritize that enemy.
8. POSITION yourself so as not to let anyone on your flank. This often means keeping enemies at optimal arms length, so that their lights cannot get behind you. If a light is particularly pesky, focus firing it's leg often neutralizes that threat, as their weapoin payloads are often not significant for you to worry about.
9. OPTIMIZE the use of focus fire; don't waste it on entrenched enemes because losing 50% of its damage potential is a waste for something that's guaranteeing most of your damage on a particular spot.
10. ANALYZE your enemy for their most potent weapons, and destroy the side torso where that weapon exists. This will take off weapons in there and the arm, but don't disregard an area that holds a lot of ammo. Causing ammo explosions there will direct a lot of damage towards to pilot and CT, often resulting in an easier kill than going through the CT.

You should be able to have more than one lance (4 mechs). I am hoping that they`ll patch or maybe dlc-in the ability for 4 more mechs, The game can clearly take that.

In the meantime, you have to play well, do as the others have suggested.
After the 1.1 Patch, 5-skull missions are an absolute impossibility now. The increased stability of assaults and heavies makes knocking them over more rare, thus, called shot resources gets depleted too quickly. Couple that with AI that just targets the closest means if you every get in to try for a rear armor alpha, you're decimated by overwhelming focus fire.

It's one think to expect a challenge, but it seems the max tonnage I can drop with is about 350T. And by the time my squad is wiped, they had destroyed 800T and there were still another 150T of enemies on the screen in new health.

I firmly believe that with those limitations in place, the developers want you to "do what damage you can and then flee" the battle. And "forced failure" is among one of my most hated game mechanics. Right next to quick time events. You don't EVER force the player into a no-win situation.

killed 12 heavys and assaults right now ... and did quite some 5 skull missions before without taking serious damage, so it definitely is possible, but you cant exploit the LRM flaw that much anymore.

Jjst adjust, i NEVER flee a battle, but go all in with 4 brawlers. All nearly max armour, JJ, AC20, MLs and Assaults lots of SRM, too. All warriors master tactician and Bulwark. Added Comms System and Gyro +Stab

Tactics: When combat starts, jump into a forest and Called Shot if possible, else put one in front and Brace. If enemies are too far away, go near and brace. 1-2 Called shots kill first assault enemy if he isnt guarded (one kills a heavy mostly). You mostly can do 3 Called Shots in first round if you manage to kill one, then continue in next round stand still and use Bulwark or jump into another forest if one is there.

I can do two complete Alpha Strikes before i have to take care of heat management, this usually is more than enough to kill most enemies that come to you at once and then rest and wait for the next or move towards them while cooling down.

I do not go for stability damage at all, I kill ;)

You can change some parameters if you check the new options. I know most people always forget to check the options.

My annoyance is I still can`t skip the intro- and that intro takes about 2 hours to go through before you`re in control of your Merc squad!

Guess I`ll have to find a mod.

I would add always stay moving The more you have to minus from them hitting is better. The other thing is facing. You have to make sure you splash damage around your mech or you will lose guns limbs and more. If your left is damaged then move and turn your mech to have your right facing. The enemy does this but not as well as you can.Do those two things and you will find you can take so much more damage and not get hit as much with movement counters. Good luck.

Actually, its a single field in ONE stock JSON file. Notepad++ or similar full featured text editor recommended.

Go to \\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\data\milestones and load up "milestone_003_title_coronation_palace.json" and scroll down to the Results bracket and edit the 'value' field's value to "105" from 100. Save, load BT, start a new game, watch the intro movie and the first and second training missions are skipped, dropping you back into the cutscenes before the third training mission, Majesty Metals.

Its possible to skip ahead past even that mission too. More details can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/BattleTechMods/comments/8f0fq7/if_anyones_interested_ive_figured_out_how_to_skip/
