I'm seeing an updated installer here, 1.2. What's in it, or am I getting a glitch?

Yeah, I'm getting the update notification today too.

The 1.2 however, is the size of the file (1.2GB).

The version is showing as 2.0.

Anyone know if there are any new changes from the update in March??
-the exe got updated to its latest version
-the 3dfx mode got broken (no music)
-the resources were not updated (in the current state, the Wilderness Missions addon is UNCOMPLETABLE because of the bugged "The Capture" mission)

so we are a bit closer to a fully working game, but just not there yet. seriously GOG, please CALL me, we can fix this with just a liitle bit of cooperation.

// ok , GOG knows about the issues, and will try to fix them up.

Thanks both, and silly about me picking out the wrong thing as "version number!"

I hope GOG talks to you soon, voodoo47, because there's not much sense in updating if it actually breaks a feature that was working before and doesn't fix any problems you can see!
So... should I download this new version?
if you are running the 3dfx mode and want music, then no, wait for the the next build.
...which should be up in 1-2 hours.
nice. I should be back from work in about 3 - will test it right away.

tested the latest build - almost there. almost. the resources are updated, the music works in 3dfx mode, but the cutscenes (in original Incubation) seem to load one of the music mp3s (track05.mp3/arack05.mp3) instead of the correct voiceover mp3. the issue is present both in standard, and in the 3dfx mode.

//actually, it seems like that music track 05 is the only music track that gets played, ever. no other music tracks play (when it finishes playing track 05, it should in theory switch to another track, but it does not, and the game will become silent. also, I'm pretty sure that in the later parts of the game, different tracks should play as default). do note that I'm not 100% sure about the track switching, I would have to reinstall my original platinum edition to check the exact behavior, but one one way or another, the music/audio playback still requires attention, no doubt.

...tomorrow.
You could also change IRQ setting for BI2 and it's addon from 7 to 5 in dosbox .conf files, because right now SFX doesn't work.

'kay. heck, I have waited for an ultimate version of Incubation for almost half of my life, a bunch of hours more won't kill me. hopefully.

btw, confirming what I've said - each map has one "default" audio track, once that is finished, other ones are played (probably randomly, can't really confirm, it would take hours of listening to the music).

I have a personal checklist of game issues I want to see resolved and believe me, Battle Isle is pretty high on it ;)
good to know.

the build has been updated again, will check it out when I get back from work.
