Just wanted to point out that I found that BC2 doesn't understand that the two generals aren't suppose to face each other, ever, without a piece in between. Else it is considered walking into check. As such, there is even more possibility for a drawn game due to insufficient materiel. Although the engine is pretty easy, this still bothers me.

Another thing that bothers me is how, in the game play video included, it shows the knight moving accurately one line orthogonally then once diagonally. But in the GoG version, the knight moves in the inaccurate and confusing L shape pattern of a chess knight. The result being, in the animation, pieces on the corner must move out of the way even though the knight isn't suppose the be able to jump over another piece. It's just really weird, and confusing to new players. Especially when they wonder why their knight is blocked when another piece is right next to it.

I know you're being sarcastic.
But you're not suppose to. Its essentially being allowed to walk into check in a game where pieces are, for the most part, not as powerful as their chess equivalents. As a result there is just more opportunity for a drawn game. They just didn't program in the rules properly and i guess didn't patch it later.
