The game uses autosaves. The autosaves trigger when you enter a new area.
When entering a new area? Thanks for the warning. Too bad, so I won't buy it then.

Why? Scared? Save points make it more of a challenge.

Have you thought that maybe not everyone always has the time to sit playing a game through an entire level in one sitting?

I think I see what you are saying, but the game autosaves a lot. Getting a game over doesn't mean starting from scratch. You don't lose much progress, either.

FYI, it's a small semi-open world with backtracking. If you enter/exit a building (or a different wing of the same building), for example, it will autosave. Knowing this, if you want to save and quit, you can just hurry to the nearest "loading" door, go through it, then quit. Not saying it wouldn't be better with a freer saving system, but it's not nearly as onerous as many more linear autosave-only games. And it's a damn good game.
