I'm sure I'm missing something basic, but once you have unlocked the revive technique, how do you actually use it? My NPCs do it now and then, but the video leads me to believe I should be able to do with the character I am currently controlling as well?

Hello!

A fallen guard will have a red token appear above them if you have a Revive technique available. To manually revive them just click-hold that token until the prompt is complete. The amounts of time you can revive can be added to in the Techniques menu.

Thank you for the swift reply. I'll have to keep a closer eye out! I suppose it's possible the AI-controlled party members have always been swift to use up my revives before I've seen it.

Really enjoying the game so far, by the way. And appreciated seeing a small sign of my Staglands import already in the inn :)
