computerdude92: I just prefer to have high MR early in the game. I'm too impatient to wait to level 30 and beyond LOL

I don't understand why gnomes out of the shorty bunch are better than a Drow WS. Other than natural Drow MR....

twillight: First: drow is not a playable race.

Second: shorties get Saving Throw Bonuses depending on their constitution (maximum -5 at 18 CON).So if a spell/ability bypasses magic resistance (some do), then you'll have to rely on saves. That's where Shorty Bonuses help you.
Drow elf is playable if you make their skin and hair in likeness, matching portrait, and give them between 50% or 65% magic resistance with the Shadowkeeper mod. (Viconia's MR was 50% in BG1 and 65% in BG2)

twillight: I already did, and enjoyed the experience despite the difficulties.
And I played hardcore,aka.:
- no magic helmets (including Vhailor's Simulacrum)
- no magic boots
- no Claw of Kazgaroth
- no Amulet of Seldarine
- no Horn of Kazgaroth
- no Deck of Many Things
- no magical shields (actualyno shields sinceI could afford 3 in two weapon style)
Hardcore (or Ironman) is usually referred to a style of playing when you don't allow reloads, though.

That's "hardcore playthrough".

On the other hand "hardcore wizardslayer" is what I said: stick to the description of the classand assume everything else is coding error.
