I have formed this topic from a reply I received in a previous one.

Whenever I bring up anything in this topic, the only replies I get are totally useless pieces of information that players seem to think isn't useless and I'm somehow supposed to understand and be able to use. This is because people refuse to accept the problem within the games structure which is a total lack of any actual instructions and easy to understand explanations and how to actually do anything in the game..it's useless to tell me to use a sword when there is zero instructions and or information about how to do that. Before saying i should equip a sword and assume I'm magically supposed to know that. It wont' go anywhere when all the missing information which allows a player to do that is not present. To this day I cannot equip anything on a character in this game. Instead of analyzing why or say I'm a troll how about answer the questions and stop saying it's explained. it isn't explained to me. Furthermore there is no video or walk through or any person on youtube that explains anything on how to play, they skip steps and assume things and so the videos are useless, telling someone to watch a video is 100% useless

Example before you can tell a player to equip a sword you first have to back all the way up to all the following:
Explain the interface layout and icons how to open the screens the basic things like ALLOW the player to be able to equip an item (This is the crucial basic information a player MUST have which does not exist)

With a voice narrated tutorial that has the person explain things such as now I'll show you how to equip an item, First press (Insert Keybind) now you see this screen (Explain screen) I'm now going to move my mouse over this option here (Insert whatever) now right/left click (If needed) you can no move/equip/set that item to here (Insert information) and that is how you equip an item.

Now that you have an item equipped, what do you do with it. What can you do with it?' What are you supposed to do with it? If that item gets used, how do you actually go about doing that? Now to demonstrate how to (Insert information).

You will now be shown how to attack an enemy with both melee and magic. So to attack an enemy with melee (insert every single step required on how to attack)
__________________________________________________________________________

As you can now see that can see that what I have posted and what the game goes over aren't even close to the same information.

This game has zero information and instructions on how to do ANYTHING at all What is the point in telling a player to equip a sword when the player doesn't know how, and there is no point in having a player equip a sword when they aren't told how to attack or even told they need to do within the very beginning of the game.
(Continued from above)

I am not interested in if people THINK this game is explained or their own opinion about what they or someone they know found easy. That is just trolls who have zero intention in helping.

I am only going to responsive to people who actually want to answer all my questions about what I need and require for instructions without any side tracked garbage. People don't decide for me what I need to know, I do. Want to help then leave your opinion out of it.

That being said:
Anyone that really wants to take the time and help me, can contact me in discord and I will sue Voice chat.

Earlier today I was thinking of your previous thread. I was curious to know if you stopped posting, or if the mods muted you.I have my answer now. Thanks.

Dunno what your questions are and I'm afraid to go looking if your post in this thread is an example. It is a little funny that you complain about lack of instructions but don't even bother to specify what game you are talking about. Anyhow, just ask your question, is my advice. Or if that equip sword stuff is really what you want to know then just click and drop - standard gui stuff (this works in all three of the games that you might be asking about).

No one muted me, I wasn't banned, suspended or anything else. I simply stopped posting and left it alone because there was no point in continuing to reply to you who have zero clue about how to actually help anyone and try to act smarter than they really are not too mention are more focused on derailing the topic by trolling.

I figured by leaving things alone to die down and coming back later, people would have grown up and the situation might change. Looks like I as wrong.

Standard ui stuff? Standard to whom? What does that even mean? FYI, I did ask specifics and even posted videos showing there was no explanation on ANYTHING and what I needed/explained and it was ignored.

Here is a suggestion, instead of saying statements that make sense to you and others, but not to me. How about taking the time to first make sure I know the entire interface, all it's icons and functions first, that way when you say something such as Click, Drag, and Drop I'll know what you're talking about.

All the information that leads up to Click, Drag, and Drop, is missing. Somehow gamers believe that type information doesn't need to be in a tutorial of places. This isn't school and gamers CHOOSING to click on random things on the interface is OPINION and has no connection to what the game designers did or didn't bother going over.

Players that want to mess around and try things good for them, I don't, and refuse to do so in a tutorial. A games tutorial isn't designed as schoolwork where things are attempted by a player. A tutorial is a spoon fed step by step basic learning attribute that explains all the basics so a learning curve can be established.

It's not a gamers/players responsibility to do any type of work in a tutorial. Either a game designer explains how to use all parts of their game, or they don't which means the game is shit and cannot be played.

A gamer taking it upon themselves to try shit does not mean the game is playable. What a gamer CHOOSES to do and a game designer not explaining shit are not related to each other in any way. Any gamer that truly believes it's a players responsibility to go messing around a tutorial as schoolwork, and defending lazy shit ass game design like that in a tutorial design, can just fuck right off with that mentality.

Great way to ask for help. Lol. Read the manual if you're that bad at inrteracting with living people, like a spoiled 10 year old. And yes, clicking, dragging, dropping, etc., is considered standard GUI design by anyone who has used a modern OS in the last 2,5 decades. Also, everything has a tooltip when you hover the cursor over it, which is also standard GUI design.

1. How someone asks for help has no relevance to anything, No one helps regardless of how someone asks.
2. A tooltip isn't an instruction it's a reminder for instruction that was already given.
3. You're a liar about that and it doesn't matter anyway because nowhere does the game explain what you said is even an option so your entire reply is not only retarded but irrelevant.
4. You clearly have no idea how to play this game and neither does alcaray. Otherwise one or both of you would have actually helped.

So far the game is still not explained and it's still unplayable, the entire Bauldr's Gate game series is a total piece made by incompetent developers and game designers who don't know the first thing about making a game that is playable.

Yes, everyone else is a moron, you're the sole smart person on earth, sadly for you, and that's why you're still waiting for help, and that's why you even need help in the first place when others happily played and completed the games you are unable to. They're games for morons and that's why you can't wrap your head around them and need the help of morons yet present an attitude that means you'll never get it. That's it, everyone else is the problem, not wonderful you, just like your mommy tells you, you're beautiful!

The simplest answer is to not play it then and move on to something else.

First of, there is a MANUAL to open.
Second, I assume you are literate just from creating yourpost, so how about bringing the cursor over stuff and READ THE INSCRIPTION OF THE BUTTONS?

But here are some definite answers:
- to equip stuff open the inventory of the character, and move the equipment to the equipment slot it fits. If another character has the equipment, move it to said character. In this case distance between characters is important. Also, do not be fighting when doing so.
- THE MANUAL EXPLAINS all the layouts of buttons, and basic actions. Not that they highly differ from any other game.
- dude, it's a sword. What you expect to do with it? If you lack the basic common sene, don't read the description of the items, don't read the manual, and you want others explaining every single item in an item-hunting game whichliteraly has like a thousand items in it, just go away. Get a shooter. You shoot things there, and that'sit.
- I HAVE TO EMPHACISE THIS: READ THE MANUAL. IT EXPLAINS BASIC INTERACTIONS. BALDUR'S GATE ISA HIGHLY COMPLEX GAME, WHICH EXPECTS YOU TO READ ITS MANUAL, and maybe even be a little familiar with the AD&D system.
Dear Tx.

I extend my help every time you open such topics yet you never reply back. You never explain your problems, you never do our suggestions and more importantly, you ONLY reply to people who attack you rather than people who try to help you.

That's why, I came to the conclusion that you ARE NOT interested in learning the game. You are here for a single purpose, which is to fight people and insult them on regular basis.

There are kids who can finish the game in a single day. So while the Baldur's Gate series can not be classified as easy games, they are definitely doable and anyone who is capable of using internet and type here can do it if they SET THEIR MIND to it.

If those games are too complex for you, simple move on and don't play them. However, if one day you REALLY chose to play those games, I am ready to help.

Fellow BG lovers:

In a previous thread, Tx3000 claims to have not been able to finish the tutorial. Nobody can be this ridiculously dumb, as I've seen 8yo's successfully navigate the tutorial. Nay, he is just a troll that has nothing better to do than bitch about a game in a forum full of people that do in fact love the game.

So understand that trying to help this dude is a waste of your time, as the troll isn't interested in being helped, just in trolling. How anybody can have nothing better to do than troll is beyond me.

Cheers! to Baldur's Gate!
