I had this rather pleasant, nostalgic flashback to Baldur's Gate series playing Kingdoms of Amalur where on of the NPCs was totally uncannily like Saemon Havarian! (Or the guy in dockside tavern stating "All I need is a grog, and a good lass on me lap" for intonation.)

I should have marked down which NPC it was, but did not, of course, but it has left me speculating if this was an intential nod to BG series. Just wondering if this deja vu is figment of my imagination, or has anyone else noted similarities in voice acting between these two games?

Imaginary, or not, I must admit it has certainly added to my gaming experience wtih Kingdoms of Amalur! :)
On a related note...the whole beginning of KOA seems to be an homage to Planescape Torment. Too bad KOA was so disappointing....I really do respect Ken Rolston.
