step 1 = don't install anything to C program files... Windows locks that folder

did you use the offline installers or Galaxy? W10 or 11?

it works fine at my end... just tested it
i have Galaxy 2 installed on Windows 10
i use English
I have admin rights
i downloaded the mod from https://www.gibberlings3.net/files/file/896-widescreen-mod/

check your file path:
by default Gog puts Galaxy install in Baldurs Gate 2 but off line installs goto Baldur's Gate 2... that extra ' is important

the mod files MUST be in the same folder as the game... which by default includes saves

always select 'run as admin' + always run the base game at least once to insure its installed correct BEFORE trying to add any mods

most important to checj your display settings in Windows to be sure what rez the monitor can handle

again C:\ or C:\ programs are both locked folders and NEVER install any software to those locations
