i am currently playing BG2EE with a few mods installed and Minsc has started exclaiming, "It's the boy, Delon from Umar Hills!" every 2 or 3 seconds. i can't figure out what made this start or how to make it stop. i have gone back and restored previous saves but it just keeps happening. it is seriously annoying!!

does anyone have any idea what has caused this and any advice on how to stop it?
you caused it installing mods
That must be from a quest mod, or something. That particular dialog line may be failing to realize that it has already happened. Could be faulty dialog action/trigger, or the actor/dialog that's supposed to move the conversation forward is missing.

If you've played with NearInfinity before it's not too complicated to open up Minsc's dialog file and/or his script and search for this particular event.

yes, i figured it was one of the mods. i just was hoping to figure out which one. i have played with mods before and this is the first time this has happened. what is NearInfinity?
NearInfinity is a tool that lets you browse and edit source files of the Infinity Engine games, including Baldur's Gate. It's very powerful but is also user-friendly and easy to learn.

Knowing which mod causes the issue may let you disable it or the faulty component(s), and maybe report to the forums. But it could also be a bad interaction between two or more mods and not because of any single mod's fault.

To start, you can review the list of mods you have, then read up on the readmes of those you think are suspicious, see if any of them listing direct changes to the Umar Hills quest line or Minsc/Delon interaction. Theoretically, it could also be some NPC or banter mod that introduces a banter which involves Delon.
