Hi all,

I'm currently playing through Baldur's Gate 1 (first time ever and thoroughly enjoying it!) and I hope to get to the sequel within the next week or so. As I've been perusing info about BG2, I've read some things about character and item transfers from BG1 to BG2. However, I'm currently running BG1 on my Mac using the full version of CrossOver Games 9.2.0 and I'm wondering whether it's possible (and if so, how?) to perform these character/item transfers using CrossOver. Does anybody know of a solution or some kind of work-around?

Thanks in advance!

Hi splatthepirate

I just wanted to know if getting BG1 complete here on GOG with CXG worth my money. I have the original BG1 disk for classic mac 9 but I have a Macbook pro, snow leopard. I just want to know if CXG will make BG1 complete from GOG run smooth. I f it does I will get probably both BG games and I will help you on the transferring characters between games.
CXG has been working nearly flawlessly for me with GOG's release of BG1. I've only had a minor issue with playing the game in fullscreen. In fullscreen mode, the picture is thrown off-center and causes the very bottom of the screen to be cut from view. Other than this it has been smooth-sailing!
Yes I got the game and it runs better than I thought. The full screen, yes it not only cuts half of the quick slots but it also doesn't let you scroll down or up, because I'm on a laptop and can't use the numeric keypad I scroll up and down diagonal, I got used to it after a few hours.

For people that reads this, don't get discourage by this issue, you can still use those quick slots easy.

Hi, it's been a while and I don't know how to help you on the transfer right now (not enough time to play) but i got a fix for the screen to make it run full screen perfectly.

go to manage bottles, control panel, launch the wine config, select the graphic tab, and uncheck both "allow the window manager to decorate the windows" and "allow the window manager to control the windows". Once this is done the game runs perfect on full screen.
