I've never played Baldur's Gate and I'm eager to take a stab at this RPG! Problem is that I'd like to take the game into the 21st century and apply some mods like BGT and Widescreen mod, but I cannot for the life of me get any of the mods to install correctly. Is there a guide somewhere that can help a Linux user install these mods? I've read through the stickies, but nothing seems to lend a hand to Linux users.

The short answer is that you should download the Linux version of WeiDU (the tool used to make most IE games), not run the Windows version on wine.

The long answer is... let me find that previous post... http://www.gog.com/forum/baldurs_gate_series/bg1_linux_modding_info_requested/post4
Thank you so much! I was trying to use the Linux version, but I could get it working! Your post is perfect!
