in BG 1 on the bottom of the screen any of the buttons that bring up a second menu (spells, r-clicking a quick spell/item slot, backpack, prayers/druid skills, etc.) only work about 5% of the time. Generally all that happens when i click on one is it plays the sound and animation but absolutely nothing happens. attack, talk, and guard work fine. all the buttons on the side of the screen work fine.
Playing on Windows 7 64-bit

As far as I'm aware, in BG1, right-clicking doesn't do anything on those icons/buttons. Left-clicking brings up the second menu.

I believe the problem has something to do with my keyboard.
Sometimes when the name box comes up it instantly gets filled up with one number, if i press that number it stops filling and i can backspace and put whatever i want. If i go with the name WITHOUT pressing that number, then i get these problems with the buttons.
Dunno whats wrong with my keyboard but baldur's gate is not the only program where this has happened.

Are you running the game as Admin? If not, give that a shot. I believe I've read about this issue before and I think someone said this will fix it.

I'm running it as admin, but like I said, it's something to do with my keyboard, nothing wrong with the game or my OS.
