I noticed so far, that the higher the magic resistance of my party members is, the more often friendly spells cast on them, such as buffs or heals fail, and are wasted on them. While i noticed that in BG2, nothing of sorts ever troubled me (and there i had way higher resistance, having transferred the cape of balduran and stuff with the starting dungeon trick). Is this supposed to happen? Pretty much, this fact makes carrying clerics in 1 pretty much useless and meaningless, especially so since undead are not such a drag as in the sequel, both in power and numbers.
