I finished BG1 EE and SoD and want to move into BG2 EE. However, when starting, I only get the option to import my character from the end of BG1 EE.
This kind of breaks the continuity for me. How can I get my char from the end of SoD into BG2 EE?
Do you still have your saved games from BG1EE:SoD ? The easiest way is to import your last saved game via the "Import Game" button. Check my attached image.

1. The other, longer and more annoying solution is to run BG1EE:SoD.
2. Load your last saved game.
3. Press "R" to access your Record screen.
4. Hit the "Export" button.
5. Give a name for your file, but no more than 8 characters.
6. Exit BG1EE:SoD.

7. Go to Windows file Explorer and the folder: \Your_profile_name\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enchanced Edition\characters\
8. Copy your character file.
9. Go to \Your_profile_name\Documents\Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition\characters\
10. Paste your character file.

11. Run BG2EE
12. Start a new game.
13. Import your character.

the SOD saves will be in sodsave not save i.e, after Bg1 the save folder moves to a new place and you clearly have your Bg2 game set to look in the wrong one... did you install BG2 before adding the SOD dlc?

p.s, assuming you have both games from the same place i.e, Gog, Steam or Beamdog the game auto transfers from the end of BG1 into SOD and from the end of SOD into BG2 with copy and paste only needed if you want to hack the savefiles for cheating
