Engerek01: An other bug.

Say hello to Branwen, our cleric in stone. When I look at her character sheet, I see some bonus spells. However, the level numbers are missing. I noticed it is same for Jaheira so I believe this is a common problem for priests.

This is for steam version on Win7.
It's the same for GOG version, divine casters, single or dual/multi.

Big_Lou: As for the removal of the originals, that was not Beamdog's choice, as is a common misunderstanding. One would be absolutely right to say they had no right to demand the originals be taken off the shelves - because they don't have that right, and they didn't make that demand. That choice was made by distributors of the EEs.

Big_Lou: You're also correct about Beamdog and WOTC announcing the bundle - however, Beamdog did not by any means demand this be done.

Stig79: Labeled everyone who complained about the bugs "transphobic", and played the GamerGate card in order to put up a shield in front of their rotten product. Kind of what you are doing right here. With your "masquerade it as ""we don't like the sprites"".

Removed the classic versions from the stores in order to sell their buggy games.

Why would everyone want to get rid of a company like that?

Big_Lou: I do appreciate the fact that you've been level-headed in your arguments, and actually back them up. However, I do advise you to research this one a little more.

The word transphobic was definitely passed around. However, Beamdog itself weren't the ones using the word. It was a specific employee (I'm sure we all know who I'm talking about), and she is no longer with the company. As much as I appreciate Beamdog's work, I could not get behind her as a person, and I'm sure we can all take some sort of solace in the fact that she's no longer involved in the company's work.

With that in mind, when SoD was first released, there were a lot of transphobic things being thrown at them. If you take a look at some of the early reviews (by small-time reviewers, not large companies like IGN - obviously they're smarter than that), or reach back into the archives of the Beamdog forums, there was a rather sickening amount of people who said some pretty nasty stuff aimed at Mizhena and her inclusion.

Nowadays, though, that's pretty much been settled, and many reviews/comments on the company's work are legitimate. Since the departure of she who shall not be named, I've yet to see the word transphobic, or any other iteration of the word, used by an official Beamdog employee account online. But the transphobic stuff was there, and I don't think it's safe to say the word was used incorrectly. Too often, yes. But there were definitely instances where it was justified.

As for the removal of the originals, that was not Beamdog's choice, as is a common misunderstanding. One would be absolutely right to say they had no right to demand the originals be taken off the shelves - because they don't have that right, and they didn't make that demand. That choice was made by distributors of the EEs. And even then, it was hardly done, as the originals are still available and packaged witht he EEs. Sure, you have to pay for the EEs to get the originals, but that was beyond Beamdog's control. They have no handle on what is and isn't sold through GOG, Steam, etc.

Just a little food for thought. Not looking to change anyone's opinion on Beamdog themselves - everyone is entitled to their own thoughts. But those are two common misconceptions I often see, even over on the Beamdog forums.

You were saying it was beyond Beamdog's control?

One more. While Fighting Bassilus, Jaheira got held but I was still able to user her.

In the first picture, we can see that she is really held on her character page.

On the second picture, we can see the held icon on the right side and she has some weird cloud above her head in the field. However, as you can see, I can see her bar at the bottom and I was able to give commands like she was not effected at all.

By the icon to the right (yet another thing they raped, hurray!), it looks like she has a 'twig' in her eye, so maybe that's why she is still running around.

Feels like this game is the equivalent of Windows RG.

Most of the changes, including the sprites, is because of the cellphone\pad ports of the games I suspect.
