It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

First time GoG user. I downloaded the game in three parts from GoG, and cant install them. I then used the GoG installer/downloader thing to download something titled baldur's gate 2 but Have no idea how to launch it.

There are no BG2 files on my pc that I can locate except the ones I downloaded initially, and when I try to run the installer it says any folder location I pick wont work.
To install the game BG2 you need 3 files;
1. setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12 883kb
2. setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12-1.bin 1,528,423kb
3. setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12-2.bin 870,300kb

You used the downloader so there should not be a corrupt file but take a look at the sizes anyway.

1. Press/ ran setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12 and click options to pick the install location.
2. Press yes to the agreement.

If the above still has issues then contact support because your system has other issues i.e. security, operating system quirks and invasive software like Chrome which they have better tools to help you.
look in C:\username\downloads

You should have 3 files

setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12.exe

setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12-1.bin

setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12-2.bin

When you run setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12.exe you will get the screen below 1st.jpg
If that first screen shows you C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\.......
Then click on options (in the bottom left corner)
and install it in C:\Games\Baldur's Gate 2

Edit: I type too slow.

This is a forum for the Baldur's Gate series of games. You should take your question to The Witcher 2 forum.
Hi there,

I had same problem with looking for a file in a directory. I deleted any files from destination directory(GOG games\ badlurs gate 2...) and then right clicked on bin file 1 - properties - open with program - found setup.exe and now it is installing.
HOW DOES THIS WORK,

Downloaded the game, BG2

Now the game wont run setup,
Hello can any1 help me please. I cant instal far cry

And you're asking in a Baldur's Gate forum? Try making a new topic in the Far Cry series forum.

Downloading 3 files and double clicking on the installer is "that complicated"? You have bigger problems.

steam does rule. i downloaded the three files and clicked to launch install and it asks me where the bin file is when its right next to exe fil in same dedicated folder. yea so its not as easy as download click and run smarty. now i am googling why it does not detect other files meaning "pain in the ass"

Your browser probably renamed the files. You *must* have one .exe and 2 .bin files in the same folder. The name of the files depends on which game you are talking about. It *is* that simple.

Alternatively, they may not have a clean download of the "missing" .bin file. IIRC, it gives the same error message.
