I am running as administrator have successfully gotten it working on two other computers but my laptop will NOT allow me to open the console, I have altered the ini with both Debug Mode=1 and Cheats=1 right where they work on my desk top, is the fact that I am running VISTA the reason it won't work, everything else I play on runs 7? How can I fix this PLEASE!!!

BG1 and I have tried ctrl space as well

Is it installed in Program Files? I know that can cause all sorts of problems with games in Vista. Not sure if it would do something like this, but it might be a long shot worth trying if it is installed there.
