I have the fixpack and tweaks from Gibberlings installed and nothing else. I've done everything in Chapter 6, defeated Bodhi, and brought the Lanthorn back to Elhan in The Underdark Exit. I can talk to him just fine and he teleports the party, but when the loading screen starts an error sound plays, the game freezes, and then Windows says the game has stopped working.

I'm running the game on Win7 x64 SP1. While a fix would be ideal, a cheat/Shadowkeeper workaround would be welcome too. I can't tell what causes it. And I was so close to finishing the game... :(

Try clearing the BG2 cache folder (quit the game first). If that doesn't help, you could try extracting the Suldanessellar bif file (AR2800.bif) and replace it (<install path>\data\data\).

A simple 'moveto' will not help, because that point is the transition from chapter 6 to 7, and a few things need to happen to progress the game properly. If the above doesn't help, hopefully you have another save, in case it's a corrupt save.

Clearing the cache didn't work. I found the .bif file, but I don't know how to go about extracting and replacing it. What's the best method(s)?

EDIT: Scratch that, found the file online and swapped out the old one. Still crashes. My only other save is from well before taking on Bodhi, and I'd really rather not do that again if I can help it. Vampires are far too much of a pain. I'll keep looking for solutions.

Then it sounds like you have a corrupt saved game. That being so, your only option left is to remove the forest of Tethyr (AR2600) in Near Infinity, since that *may* be causing issues, though there are consequences: the forest will be completely reset as though you have never visited it. If you are comfortable using NI, let me know.

I haven't used NI before, but I'm a quick learner and I backed up my saves in case I do something wrong. I haven't visited any of the three areas (including Tethyr) added after exiting the Underdark though.

EDIT: Trying to load the three new areas also caused a crash to desktop.

I've actually have the same problems but I did all the uninstalls of the tweaks and did the fixpack installation and reinstallation afterwards of the tweak. but still I can reach the part of suldanessellar.
I even got a new area2800 file and replaced the original but still nothing works :-(((

Your weidu.log is a complete mess. I don't know how you managed it (unless you edited the log), but you have FixPack installing in the middle of the Tweak Pack, with the tweaks being installed in two parts, with the first options being installed last. That is not possible. Uninstall everything... EVERYTHING... and reinstall correctly.

First, you MUST do one thing at a time. You CANNOT uninstall or install more than one weidu mod at a time. Click on the installer for the tweak pack and choose uninstall for every option. Go through them all and uninstall every single one. Remember, the uninstall option is 'U'. Once that's done, do exactly the same for the fix pack. When both are completely uninstalled, re-run the installer for the fix pack -- you MUST install this first. Wait until the fix pack is installed correctly, and finished, then run the installer for the tweak pack. When all of that is done, your weidu.log should list the fix pack and it's options numerically, then the tweak pack and it's options numerically after.

in the past my friend found a solution with hexedit but that also did not work. i am at a loss.....

You cannot hex edit a saved game. All of the areas are compressed. Please post your new weidu.log.
