I'm playing Baldur's Gate 1 EE and Icewind Dale 1 EE.
I want to use the Keeper (Vers. 1.0.3.5 for BG1 and 1.0.4.0 for IWD 1) for updating the charakters in the savefiles.
The paths to the directories are set correctly. I know it, because the use of keeper make no problems in BG2 EE with the same configuration.

The problem is:
I open the keeper, the savefile is shown and when i want to edit it says: "Failed to create empty document."
???
System ist Win10 x64

Has anyone the same problem and solved it?

Thanks to all for the help

It sounds like EE Keeper is trying to create a temporary file and cannot find the TMP/TEMP folder, or the drive that the TMP/TEMP folder is on is full. Make sure that you have a TMP and/or TEMP folder and their respective environment variables exist.
Thanks Hickory.
Yes, Keeper does not create a temporary file.
I know the solution to rename the TMP / TEMP Directoy from Windows.
The hard disk is not full, the environment variables are set, and the folders exist.
But Keeper has no problem to create the temporary file in use with Savefiles of
BG2 EE and perhaps also ICWD 2 (IWD 2 so far not tried).
The problem only exists with the first editions of BG EE and ICWD EE.

Seems the problem is Win10 on the laptop, I can't explain it to me ...
I've installed it on my PC with Win7 and Keeper just works.
Now I have a solution ...
