I'm at the beginning of Baldur's Gate 2, still in the dungeon, and I have this problem where every time I try to talk to Rielev, the servant in the jar, after the dialog is finished, Imoen tries to start dialog with my character. However, she doesn't actually start talking. But the game considers me to be in dialog mode, so I become unable to save, sleep, or anything. And Imoen keeps turning towards the character every few seconds, and ends up stopping while moving.

I've tried reinstalling, installing in a different location. With mods. Without mods. Used Gibberlings 3 Fix pack. No matter what, it keeps doing this. It stops when I remove her from the party, but i want to be able to keep her in.

Can anyone help?

I would recommend uninstalling and then re-installing to a different location. Make sure if you're using Windows Vista or 7 that you're outside of a protected folder.

I've read that the uninstall of BG doesn't remove all of the files and that reinstalling might not overwrite everything. So I'd just reinstall to a whole different location so you know you're working with a fresh install.

Also, it might not hurt to redownload if you can. Just to be absolutely sure.

This is definitely a weird bug.

Let me know if it's no working still and I'm sure we can find a solution.
Miren, you always have the weirdest bugs.

WTF!? A three year old non-answer necro gets marked as the 'solution'? Now I've seen almost everything.

It's not an answer, it's a comment.
