It seems to me that the background music in the video above won't play if tob is installed. Does anyone know how to get it back? The scene is much weaker without the music.

My guess is a bad install or a mod. You installed it correctly? Added the patch? Did you add mods?

Actually I don't think these are the reasons. This happened long ago while I still got the physical discs. Now with a clean GOG installation, still the same. Can you get that music played in the scene with it?

I don't have it installed atm and it's been a while since I've played.

Is that the only area where sound/music is messed up for you?

As an aside, have you seen the fan remake of this vid?

I am not sure. I didn't notice any. Just because this scene is one of the most impressive scenes in BG2 to me. That bgm play an important role in it and it sort of matches with the scene SO MUCH. Just want to experience them at the same time, again.

Yeah I've watched it. It's a nice job, making good use of the DA materials to have the scene remade.

But, well, the speed, the rhythm, the lines, the music and OF COURSE that damn good isometric projection in the original one, are simply...irreplaceable.

Not sure what you're talking about. I watched the video you linked and there is NO background music, just crowd sound effects. In any case, the music in BG2 is intermittent on purpose, it only plays every so often. I doubt anything is wrong with your install.

I guess I forget to ask you to tune the volume up before you play that video.

Well I am quite sure that particular bgm would play every time after Irenicus says his first or second line, if tob is not installed. But just now I don't have a copy of soa only installation, so yes, I can't one hundred percent confirm that it's tob's fault.

Anyway I just give a try to ask it here. Perhaps I am the only one that are paranoid enough to notice things like this, because not even the g3 fixpack has fix this.
How stupid I am. I post the wrong link. Now it has been corrected. But even in the video it seems to be shorter than what I remember.

P.S. It's Plain Battle II, track 17 in the sound track, and then it should be followed by Waukeen's Promenade, track 08.
