Is anyone following this story? This lawsuit is still unresolved and there are many details still to come out, but it appears that after the SJWs went after WotC earlier this year, WotC clumsily attempted to scuttle a publishing contract for a new Dragonlance series they had with Wies and Hickman in an attempt to avoid further fallout (and to try to save own their soy-saturated hides).

I bring this up because Larian had to get a license from WotC in order to make BG III, and that a purchase of BG III is agreeing to financially support such an untrustworthy company. As I said in an earlier post, I will not be purchasing BG III (or anything connected to WotC ever again), and that Larian may really want to reconsider their relationship with a company that deals with its partners in such an underhanded fashion.

Completely irrelevant to BG 3. There are lawsuits all the time between any companies worth mentioning and their counterparties.

Yeah, this is a bad case of WOTC being "current year". They are being directly unfair with the Dragonlance authors. Those are apparently some really good books too, I should see if I can get ahold of them. I hope the authors get the justice they deserve for getting screwed over like that. Absolute dick move by WOTC.

Don't forget Hickman also created Ravenloft too.
