Just dump them as you use them. I have not found any reason to keep them... also once crafting is turned on we may be able to craft a key-ring (if not, it would make a good suggestion perhaps on the main forum)
As for all the junk out in the world, why pick it up to begin with... there is no crafting at present (not that crafting has ever been a necessary component of Larian games).

when i'm done with keys, i just send them to camp just for the off case that they are needed again
