I just installed the game and started playing it, but I'm getting this message every time a video starts. The video plays, but I get the error message nonetheless... I guess it has something to do with QuickTime? I installed the version that came with the GOG installer, do I need to install an older one, like I have to do every time I play my old CD version of The Dark Eye?

[EDIT] Nevermind, a computer restart did the trick! Hahaha! That's what I get for never restarting my computer after installing something.

Everything's working flawlessly, now, feel free to add some more hints for people to workaround this problem, so I can mark a reply as an answer and people may know this has been solved.

2 questions:

Where do you have the game installed?

How are you launching it?

I have the game installed in C:\BadMojo, because I have problems with FMV games whenever I install them anywhere else, so, no sub-folders. Same with The Dark Eye and Residents' Bad Day on The Midway.

I'm launching the game via the Games folder shortcut, on Vista, but everything seems to be working fine, now...

Hmmm, well, if you get that error again please screencap it and send it off to Support :)

I browsed for workarounds concerning QTCF.dll missing and it was a minor thing on my end: I had simply forgotten to restart my computer after installing QuickTime, and the file wasn't being recognized yet. Hahahaha! *Facepalms*
