Installation is fine, it just keeps crashing when I try to start it, I'm using windows 7 64- bit and everything is up to date and working fine, any one else having this problem? And If so, has anyone found a workaround? Really really wanted to play this one :(
I also have Windows 7 64-bit and the game seems to work for me. I installed it to my GOG folder on the C: drive (outside of Program Files) and the only thing I changed on the settings was setting the movement to WASD instead of arrows. The game starts, the intro movie plays, and the actual game seems to work too. (Edit: Actually, the WASD setting is on the in-game menu after it already has started, so I'm sorry if that part was confusing because it sounded like I meant something on the installer)

I had previously gotten both the original and redux versions of the game on CD from Amazon and neither one worked (I kept getting errors that indicated the installers were incompatible with 64-bit Windows) so GOG definitely did change something to make it more compatible with new versions of Windows.

Anyhow, I hope this helps narrow things down by at least ruling out compatibility issues with the operating system. Did you set any compatibility settings yourself? (I just left it at whatever the installer defaulted to) And what resolution are you trying to run it in? (My monitor is 1920x1080; the game is full-screen and seems like it's running at a lower resolution, but at least it's running so I haven't gone hunting for a way to change the resolution)

Hi there,

I tried running the game, had crashes at launch on my home Windows 7 64-bit system as well UNTIL I installed the game to C:\BadMojo. Notice the lack of spaces or any other characters such as ( , . / ' ) [ ]

Try that and if it doesn't work, please write to Support :)
I tried it and it worked like a charm! Thanks to both of you for helping out :) First cutscene gave me such a hit of nostalgia!
Thanks again :) :) :)

You're welcome :)
Hi there,

I'm having troubles launching the game as well. The game keeps complaining that there is no "Bad Mojo CD present in drive C" when I'm trying to run the exe. There's no help from the tips above, and consulting the GOG support didn't give any workable solution either. Any ideas?

If you're running the game on a computer without a physical drive, try installing a virtual one, like Daemon Tools Lite or something similar. You can also try to insert a CD (any disc should do) in your disc drive, if your computer does, in fact, have a physical drive.

I would recommend uninstalling and doing a clean new install of the game, as well, and, please, make sure the game is installed on something like 'C:\BadMojo' -- no subfolders and using no spaces or special characters when typing the name of the folder. I have to do the exact same thing with some other FMV-heavy games of the same era, in order for them to run properly.

If everything fails to do it for you, submit a trouble ticket to GOG support, via this link:

Thank you for your quick reply,

After fidgeting around with the game every possible way I've read about, I'm giving up and sending a troubleshoot request to GOG support. The game just not willing to work. I guess I have angered a voodoo priest or something to receive such a bad... luck. Thank you anyway.

Thank you very much. I've first just copied the installed folder to "D:\whatever" but this did not helped. I've then uninstalled the game and reinstalled directly at "C:\badmojo" and after that, everything just worked!
