Hi, I have the steam version of B-17 The mighty 8th and on my laptop I have low fps. On an older and worse computer running windows 7 it runs great. However, on a newer and better laptop running windows 10 I'm having problems.

Here are my specs:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.86 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
DirectX 12

And here are the graphics options I have

Have you tried turning OFF hardware T&L?

What settings are you able to adjust with your Intel integrated graphics driver? I suspect it's this that is likely the source of the the issue with this game.

First off thank you for replying.
I have tried turning off hardware T&L, it hasn't changed anything for me. My low fps is when the bombers are onscreen.
I looked at my settings and after going through them all I didn't see anything that sounds like it would help. I'm not a computer expert so I may be wrong.

A friend has suggested its because my laptop has an integrated graphics chip, an Intel HD Graphics 630.

I suspect your friend is right, although Intel integrated graphics are much more powerful than they used to be, they pale in comparison to dedicated graphics cards. There may be some settings in the Intel driver that may help but I'm not familiar with the driver at all so can't advise there.

Now, if the low fps only occurs when you're in the external view and a lot of bombers are onscreen, you can reduce the number of bombers displayed by adjusting the in-game graphics settings. In the game, your squadron only comprises of 6 active bombers, the rest are simply there to make your bombing mission look more realistic. Any bombers over 6 take no part in doing damage to targets so turning them off doesn't change the gameplay, or your chances of success, at all.

To do this you need to start the game, and then go into "Options" and then "Graphics Menu", scroll down as necessary to display "Non Player B17s". Change that setting to "Speed" and then click on the right hand switch in the lower right corner to save your settings.

Thanks, I have played with the settings before and that should help. Though I must admit I would like to play the game on max settings, so that bothers me lol. Cause I could play a game like war thunder on the lowest settings and games from like 2004 run fine.
Perhaps I could figure something out.
