I am new to this game and I'm trying to figure out the bombsight.
So far I understand the Shift + K search mode, and I also understand the rate correction mode. I'm having trouble figuring out the "drift correction mode" on the Norden bombsight. The manual says that the sight starts out in drift correction mode, but I haven't been able to figure out how to control the drift. It says you can press left or right on the joystick to alter the angle of the drift. Pressing left or right doesn't seem to do anything for me. I think I have my joystick set up correctly since I can control the guns just fine.
Then it says you can press the N key to change to the rate correction mode. That is another part I don't understand. It seems the bombsight is always "stuck" in rate correction mode for me. What I mean is that I am always able to adjust the rate by pressing up or down on the joystick. If I press the "N" key, nothing happens. The manual makes it seem like pressing N switches between the rate correction and drift correction, but as I mentioned pressing N never prevents me from being able to change the rate correction, so I am not sure what the N key is actually supposed to do.
