The Steam release got an update last December. According to the patch notes the update featured "Improved performance". As far as I know, the GOG.com release hasn't got any updates/patches. Is this update coming to GOG.com at some point? If not, are these "performance improvements" already implemented in the GOG.com version (released about three and half months before the Steam update)?

Me too. I will not buy a game without the newest patch. My weak little PC need every little help for running these games.

I don't know. All I saw in the changelog was "improved performance" and that's it.

Sadly not even the demo can be run on my PC without heavy lag. This isn't a new computer, single core and has XP installed. Anyway AsteBreed is the best shmup ever created, the great success of what the Edelweiss started with the Ether Vapor. I will buy it if I upgrade my computer. :)
