My specs: 2 HD 7970's
16 GB RAM
FX 8350
SSD 120 gb Corsair (installed in it)
I'm having plenty of lag in some parts of the game, specially when I climb on towers, but since this game dates back to 2008 I guess, I thought it could be very playable on my pc, any suggestions?
Which mode are you using - DX9 or DX10? If the latter, try the first one. Although - the series is quite known to be strangely optimised (if at all).

Yeah the DX9 version is more smooth, dunno why but it seems that DX 10 based games always run slower on AMD/ATI (except those which support DX 10.1).

There is also one other reason - it seems later games from the series 'like it' when you have some free space on hard drive. I don't know why, but when I'm running low on space, the games start stuttering, especially on sound. But if there is space - suddenly it's not bad.

That fix and the one below about the servers might help possibly.
