My laptop has been playing Assassin's Creed up until a few days ago. Now, the game crashes at the Ubisoft Logo. I have tried reinstalling and am in the process of tinkering with the compatibility settings, but still getting the same result thus far. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Oh wow... This is embarrassing. Turns out when I updated my video drivers, they were too new to work with Assassin's Creed. Weird.

Indeed I as-well updated my video drivers to find that they where to new.
Uhh... this sounds like an issue that needs to be fixed. o.o;
Try to disable network/internet.
