It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

UPDATE : I re-downloaded the game files using Galaxy and it end up well and smooth :)

-----

Hi, just bought this game recently (finally) and downloaded from browser but this game installation comes with Zip/archive rather than .BIN files like other GOG games installation files, is this just me or anyone also having this issue?

the .EXE can't read games file while i'm trying to install, I assume is because files are in a wrong format or something. any chance to fix this without re-downloading? I'm having slow connection here and 6GB is bit rough with my internet.

Meanwhile I also emailed support about this but i'm afraid they're busy with current sale event so i'm not get their answer any sooner, sorry for my English and thanks in advance!

---

sorry for double post, seem my connection issue or something :\

Strange, if I try to download the game it show me that all the files (outside of the EXE) are BIN.

How did you downloaded them? might help to try another method and/or switch browser.

Or as they seem in the right size just change them to BIN and see if the installation working.

I download these files manually through Chrome browser and most of the time I used chrome for GOG browsing, purchase and downloaded my game from library before all went fine until this problem happen.

Also just received response from support that they suggest me to re-download the game files with Galaxy, I think i'll try tre-downloading now with Galaxy this time.

Thanks for replying my post Ingsoc85 much appreciate

No addons? That's odd. Typically IE tries to do this.

Simply rename the files from .rar to .bin. No need to re-download anything. Particularly not the uncompressed game files through Galaxy.

didn't work either even I've rename the files, the type still .rar or I'm do it wrong?

Last time I download TWoM with the same method but it's work fine (and of course it come with .bin) , downloaded from browser then moved all files to Galaxy download directory in order Galaxy's to verify my files and install the game.

U r doin it wrong.
Open a command prompt to the the download directory:
move setup_assassins_creed_2.1.0.23-1.bin.rar setup_assassins_creed_2.1.0.23-1.bin
move setup_assassins_creed_2.1.0.23-2.bin.rar setup_assassins_creed_2.1.0.23-2.bin
You could always just uncheck Hide extensions for known file types under Tools - Folder Options - View tab and rename them in Windows Explorer.

Thanks for your effort and instruction Gydion, I've following your instruction and renaming the files using command prompt, but unfortunately I still unable installing the game. the exe didn't recognize .bin files.

I think the best way by now is re-download all files as support suggest Me earlier, but this time I'm going to use Galaxy and probably not in any sooner because I'm having "Server Error" message from last two days (maybe due high traffic on homepage sale I believe).

Did it at least give you a different error? I believe it should have if everything is named correctly. In a command prompt in the download directory running dir should show you the full filenames. You can double check that they were renamed correctly.

For what it's worth, I've never had trouble downloading the installers with Firefox if you don't feel like waiting for Galaxy to work (or even use it at all).

Files extension success change to bin but thumbnail didn't exchange like GOG's bin files, I'm forgot to screen capt just instant delete those files b/c I'm already frustrated since I'm not Computer expert xD

As per Error message, pretty much the same like My screen capture on first post "Installer Files Missing..."

Well, it's also My very first issues with GOG games never had any problem before. I'm not sure but UBI's games seem don't agree with Me, that's why I never bought their new series moreover with Uplay on it :\

And I can wait another time for downloading, Thanks Gydion much appreciate for your thought! :)
